Been a while since I last wrote something.
Cycling has been good. Really got back into it with a vengeance. Yesterday, decided on a whim to ride through to Edinburgh. Been aching to find out if I am overfuelling as my weight loss has slowed right down since I started cycling seriously. Not putting weight on, but not losing it as well as before.
Plan was 72 miles with a possible 28 mile extension depending how I felt. Noticed quickly I had no power pedals or cadence but opted to wait until first stop to diagnose. It was just the battery cover had worked loose!
50 miles in, my right shoe gave, clipped in it was fine, but walking was difficult. The problem was I had 2 aqueducts to cross that you have to walk, they are just not safe to ride. 2 twisted ankles later...
So here is where I am year to date now. Well ahead of my 2023 target!!
